There’s Nothing Wrong

I’m freaking tired of these ‘close’-minded people. They talk like they really know what’s going on. But actually, they don’t.

                                
Dear readers, I’m sure you’re wondering about these ‘close’-minded people that i’m referring to. Before I start, I’ll tell you where this came from. It has something to do with Jessica Sanchez and ‘some’ Filipinos who are living in the Philippines.

                                
I have read, I wished that it didn’t happen, that ‘certain’ people are expressing their side by saying that they are so freaking tired. Why? Well, Jessica Sanchez, since she’s a part Filipino, is still the talk here in the Philippines, especially in the media. Newspaper and TV headlines...etc. And some of them also had guts to accuse that the Filipinos have not yet moved on and gotten over Jessica’s runner-up finish in American Idol Season 11.

                                
Here’s my say about this issue. And I’m not trying to defend anyone because I actually ‘understand’ all the crazy media attention Jessica has in the Phillipines. Porket hanggang ngayon eh laman pa rin siya ng mga balita at usap-usapan eh hindi pa rin matanggap ng mga Pinoy at sobrang ‘nagluluksa’ pa rin sila na hindi si Jessica ang naging American Idol?! (English translation of the italized sentence: You mean to say that because news and conversations still somewhat revolve around her until now leads you to believe that the Filipinos can’t still accept and are still depressed that Jessica isn’t the American Idol?)

                                
Be open-minded. Don’t you know that with all the media circus about Jessica around here in the Philippines is actually something good? Why? Simple. The Filipinos are very aware of the result, and instead of focusing on the failure of getting the much well-deserved title, they revel in the positive side. And, of course, Jessica’s fans might know what I’m talking about that. We are actually embracing the result. And so, there’s nothing wrong in all the attention that she is being given here in our country. If you’re pissed off (annoyed) or you’re tired of it, the simplest thing to do is don’t watch TV, read newspapers and listen to radios. But if you can’t manage to do that, then you desperately have to endure it.

                                
I don’t think it’s too much. And I’m not here to convince anyone. A hater will always be a hater (NP: Jessica’s original song, Hater Love). It is such an almost impossible task to make these certain people change their minds. They are never gone. I’m not even going to make this longer by explaining on the reason why the Filipinos have to be so consumed with Jessica and if she deserves it from us, Filipinos. What I’m actually tired of are all the negative things that are happening in our country. At least, FOR ONCE, Jessica is someone that brought light when we were almost blinded by darkness. She brought pride and joy to us despite all the problems in our country. And that is what we needed. Don’t you want to have a reason to cheer up? Didn’t you witness that for a very rare time, Filipinos (and even other races/nationalities) all over the world are not divided because we become united because of Jessica? From all walks of life, whether poor, rich, politicians, celebrities, public figures and ordinary citizens...of different ages and gender... How often do these Filipino people merge into one tight unit and support system?! Other than Manny Pacquiao... Jessica Sanchez has influenced us to do that.

                                
The blujays already succumbed to the fact that Jessica isn’t the American Idol... That’s very true. Why? Well, she’s even more than that. With an ‘other worldy’ and unbelievable talent that she has beyond her age...She’s the WORLD IDOL! That’s the TRUTH.

The Secret Circle book and tv series...

As I always say...when a book is adapted into a movie or tv series, it will not be exactly as the original. In fact, sometimes...the adaptation would become far different from the book. In that case, it will either totally ruin the story of the book...which will very much annoy the loyal readers. Why am I saying all of these? Well, after the Vampire Diaries of L.J. Smith , another one of her creations has been brought up to our tv screens...To the avid fans, i am sure you already know what am I talking about. But to those who are still not aware...I'm referring to The Secret Circle . The Secret Circle 's characters from left to right: Adam, Diana, Cassie, Nick, Faye, Melissa ( Credit to the owner ) And although the big difference is very evident from the book , I've grown to love this new tv series .
