Congratz to our team- Team VIOLET FUNERARIA LA PAZ, 2nd place! YAY!

Our speaker on the second day (Sept. 26) of the 1st UNP Constitutional Convention on Campus Advising & Student Leadership, Professor RJ Molano from De La Salle University(DLSU), grouped us into seven. Each of us counted from one to seven including the advisers (these seminar is for student leaders, campus journalists, club advisers, student organizations members, etc). I was in Group 6...the color that was assigned to this group is Violet...to make it more fun, the speaker gave a proper name for each group...the Yellow team became the UST, Red became UE, Blue- Ateneo, Green- DLSU, Orange-Villar University, Pink-I forgot the name(sorry), and the best of all is our team's name, Violet- Funeraria La Paz! 

The rest of them were named after a university...WE ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS NAMED AFTER A FUNERARIA! maybe it was a bad luck because of our name. But, that is where everyone was wrong...

In between the topics of our speaker, he inserted super fun games that would challenged our IQ. Team Funeraria was in second place after the first game. Then, after that, we were consistent on being the 3rd or 4th place. 

I lost my hope in winning the 1st place for a while but during the last games, I saw a big chance for team Funeraria.

Eventually, we were the under dog. Our Team Funeraria was the dark horse. The name itself makes people think that we really have nothing to offer. BUT, to those who thought of it, we proved them wrong.

Although we finished as 2nd placer, I feel that we already won because we really enjoyed it. I had so much fun & I contributed to a part of that victory. I am not disappointed because I think we did our best. I have no hard feelings about the result. But, of course, it would feel A LOT better if we were the 1st...

The Yellow team got that top place. I am happy for them. They deserve it. They were also like an under dog (but we are just more of an underdog than them). After all, my favorite color is yellow.

The 3rd place was the Red team, UE. They were also a dark horse. I am happy for them because I also studied in UE for one and a half years. I love UE.

The fourth place was the Blue Team...Ateneo. They were actually the very last team in the ranking after the first games. But they really did their best to get out from the place.

The fifth place was the Green team, DLSU. They were actually consistent on being at the 1st place but I think they became quite confident that's why they lost control of it.

The sixth place was given to the Pink team. & the last place belonged to the Orange team.

The seminar wasn't boring, thanks to the games that were inserted after each topic. These games were actually related to the topics. We learned so much & personally, Sir RJ Molano (who was a cum laude) from DLSU, is a great speaker.

Every convention should be this fun!
