Honestly, I don’t bash those people I don’t like. I’m not that kind of person. I’d rather waste my time and say good words about those whom I like than spent my free time with cynical, hateful, harsh, and judgmental statements. I promise, I wouldn’t do that here… I’ll simply express my point of view about this certain issue. I wanted to write a positive article and talk about how I really admire Jane in spite of all the negativity and just simply celebrate all the goodness in her but I’ll do that separately.

I’m sure some of these ex-housemates (you know who I’m talking about) and other Jane haters don’t really care about my two cents and trust me, the feeling is mutual. BUT you know what? I’ll take this opportunity to at least make them realize and admit that they are also at fault here. If you’re a Jane Oineza fan, you should read this… maybe we have the same sentiments. If you’re anti-Jane, you’re more than welcome to read this but I know you’ll still be close-minded.

The ex-housemates (anti-Jane). First and foremost, Jane is still inside the PBB house while they, on the other hand, were already evicted. That speaks so much. That must mean something. I’d just shut up and shrug off all the commotion around BUT it’s like that some of the ex-housemates wants some kind of fame and with all their publicity, I can’t help but let off a sarcastic laugh. Why? In almost all of their interviews/guesting, Jane is put into the conversation, one way or another. They use these opportunities to talk about JANE and what they think about her. It’s so ironic because, in all fairness, no one would be interested to hear their side if it’s about their personal lives but since Jane’s name was being dragged, somehow, their opinions and public appearances become relevant. Truth hurts… I know. I don’t know if they are grateful to Jane about that… maybe not because well, we are aware of what they are saying about her. If they have any plans of going into showbiz, they’d have a really hard time of doing that especially with the ‘tactic’ they are using right now. They might have few projects but do you think they’d go that far?

Michele. I love her as a volleyball player not just because I’m a DLSU Lady Spikers fan for years now… Admittedly, volleyball is her thing. BUT, based on what she had done inside the house and what she’s saying outside, it’s the same story over and over again. Jane is this…. Jane is that…. She’s ALL-KNOWING, if I may use this word. She’s too competitive that she pushes to the limit what she ‘think’ is right. She doesn’t back out. She keeps on insisting until she proves herself. I don’t think it’s easy for her to admit that she can be wrong… that she can be beaten… I like her swag in the volleyball court… but that’s just it. I wish she wakes up one day and admit that oh well, she was somewhat threatened by Jane… that she’s not almighty and innocent. Being a Christian is not measured through WORDS but through ACTIONS. What she did and said are not Christian-like. The open forum was not what it was. They ganged up on Jane… and I really hate their approach about the whole thing. She was bullied. That I’m very positive about. Do they know about the backstabbing? That’s an indirect way of bullying. Of all things, I ABSOLUTELY HATE BULLYING and BACKSTABBING.

Jayme. I’m very shocked about her. To think that even some of Jane’s supporters voted for her to be saved from eviction because well, we thought that they’ve become close especially during the past days. Imagine our reaction when the Jayme that we thought we knew said those statements about Jane. Why the sudden change? If only Jane will know about this… It’s like she has some hidden grudge…

Aina… Ranty… Cess… SAME. Again, it’s still ironic that all of these people who somewhat caused drama regarding Jane were evicted. Coincidence? Fate? Karma? What do you think? For me, I believe in KARMA. And yes, in our case, it’s really sweet.

Their Issues. FAKE. Michele was trying to justify her reason why she thinks Jane is fake. She said that what Jane says contradicts what she does.

TOUCHY. Like the fact that Jane said that her parents are strict and she’s NBSB. But her actions towards Joshua contradicts this.

PEOPLE PLEASER/ME-ME-ME.

Before we elaborate and refute Michele’s statements (she speaks for all the anti-Jane out there)… These are Boy Abunda’s arguments that are very logical and they made sense…

“Baka naman you expected her to be like you.”

“What if this is just a young girl growing up, committing her mistakes, and eventually becoming better?”

“I’ll be very frank, kung wala si Jane, ang boring sa loob.”

“Kung wala si Jane, there is no story.”

“Ang PBB ay bahay ba ng mga anghel… ang bahay ng mga pinakamababait?”

“Baka naman ang ating pananaw, masyado nating hinuhulma dun sa ‘she has to be like us for her to be good’.”

“Baka naman ang ibang mga housemates ang hindi totoo at si Jane lang ang totoo.”

“Baka naman si Jane ayaw maging katulad mo.”

“Michele, that’s part of contradictions. May mga sinasabi tayo ah nasa sa kabilang dako iba. May mga moments na ito ang gusto natin…”

“What you have is control and what I respect is your reaction towards her because that’s yours. But you’re trying to do a commentary on who she is using the prism of what is good according to you.”

*Jane is a teen for being 17, she’s also a celebrity for being known, and an adult for being mature. The problem for Michele et al is: they were very critical towards Jane. If they were not insecure or threatened, then the only reasonable explanation for their behavior is the fact that they had wrong expectations Eventually… they already convicted her, it was already hard for Jane to change that perception of her. Maybe, if they had the same understanding like Jane, they would have given her a fair trial. But, no, they didn’t. Jane’s maturity is beyond her age. She’s not your typical 17 year-old… that’s not just because she’s a celebrity or breadwinner of her family but more on the fact that she had already endured a lot of struggles and rejections in her life... in the industry she’s at. The experience she’s had made her who she is now… a very strong woman. Again, it’s so ironic because with what she had been through inside the house, and the way she handled it all,  her level of maturity is actually higher than of the adults inside the house (hence Michele et al). They treated the teens as how you treat the youngest child in a family… I will not say they were spoiled… They didn’t regard Jane as one of them. They saw that character as negative. Because of her role in her family and status as a celebrity, she didn’t enjoy most of her childhood and teenage years as much as with the other teen and adult housemates. BUT it’s evident that she’s still a child at heart. She seemed OOP… who wouldn’t be confused on where to place yourself in such an unusual environment? As someone in the entertainment industry, they quite set that standard when it comes to Jane. Their scrutiny on Jane is worse than any other housemates. Every move is being closely observed… every mistake is a big deal. When in fact, if these were committed by other housemates, it wouldn’t even get their attention.

*Regarding the FAKE and TOUCHY thingy that Michele quite connected with the contradictions of Jane’s words to her actions. A good example is her closeness with Joshua. According to Michele, Jane said that her parents are strict and she’s NBSB. First, Jane grew up in a different environment where things are very open when it comes to physical contacts. It is a culture that is contrary to those who are outside that environment. I won’t say that these contradictions should lead one to conclude her as fake. 1. Fake is someone who pretend to be someone their not… they intentionally deceive people and act as a good person when in actuality, they are not. They talk pleasantly about a person when that person is around but when he’s not, they talk about nasty things. That’s what’s FAKE. Unfortunately for them, Jane is not like that. It’s the other housemates who are FAKE. 2. Touchy. Jane is a self-confessed “one of the boys”. That explains why she can become close to boys without any malice on her side. This is unusual to maybe most people that’s why we could misunderstand her actions. She’s not the girly-girl type. She’d rather be in the company of guys because there’s less drama. This will justify that what she said doesn’t really contradict her actions. The other issue being associated with her is MALANDI. I believe this term should be appropriately used to describe a person who’s always the first one making gestures to be intimate. To explain it clearly in Filipino: Siya yung habol ng habol dun sa tao at kapag nakapalit na eh animo’y linta  na mahirap ng alisin dahil sa pagkakadikit… at kung ano-ano na ang ginagawa. In Jane’s case, it’s not her fault that a lot of guys admire her. They’re the ones who are making the moves. What I see are cuddles. As long as it doesn’t go beyond that i.e. kissing and much more… then it’s okay.

*PEOPLE PLEASER/ME-ME-ME. If she really is a people pleaser like what Michele and Vickie say, then there wouldn’t be any issues about her, right? Everybody would like her, but that’s not the case. Admittedly, she has the me-me-me attitude. But in her defense, it’s more of trying to be in a conversation. I think it was mentioned by someone, probably her sister that she wouldn’t talk to you if you don’t want to, and vice versa. You have to be the one to initiate. My perception is, she doesn’t mean to seem like that… to brag and boast.

It’s not about being ignorant of Jane’s fault… she’s imperfect like all of us. The haters are just redundant. They love to exaggerate things. Jane is not as bad as they say she is… besides, the only one who can really tell if she’s a good person or not are her family and closest friends. Their opinion is what matters to her the most and also to us. As an avid fan since her Goin Bulilit days, I firmly believe that Jane deserves to finally fulfill her dreams… to be recognized as a great actress (her role as Nene in MMK episode Manika is an evidence). She has worked so hard… It was an uphill struggle… even until now. After PBB, she’ll shine much more.

I admire her resilience. She was trampled yet she kept on fighting. Imagine the spirit that she has at a young age. I don’t think the haters will break her. When it was all the housemates against her… she didn’t falter. She had endured the worst... A loving and selfless daughter and sister that she is… blessings will pour down for her. The obstacles are only detours… these are not the end of the road. We’ll be there for her all the way… through the good times, and most importantly, through the bad times. No matter what, Jane is our BIG WINNER. We love you Elizabeth Jane Urbano Oineza! God bless!
